The Parkway Council is partnering with Philadelphia Parks & Recreation (PPR), the Office of Transportation, Infrastructure, & Sustainability (OTIS), and the Lindy Institute for Urban Innovation on the current Reimagine the Parkway planning effort. The process will propose permanent, physical changes to dramatically improve the appeal, use, safety, functionality, and beauty of the Parkway and to create a more people-centric park.

In October 2021, following a competitive international selection process, the City commissioned Design Workshop to lead the design project. Draft proposals from this process will be released in late spring 2023.
